btw you must be going crazy nasty. ALL U.S. cars 96+ have OBDII, its a law.

and yes, the blue plug does work for diagnostics, just jump it with a paperclip, turn the key to ON, and count the D4 flashes.
Okay I believe its SRS code #92
I jumped the blue clip. It had nine long illuminations folowed by two short ones.

Any idea what code 92 is?

Hmm....wonder if a new SRS control unit fixes that. That's what the dealer said I needed, but I'm kinda leery of them. I always feel like they're trying to rip me off (and they do a pretty good job). Anyway, thanks for the info.

keep your fingers crossed for me that it is just a blown fuse that I have overlooked. I will do some very thourough digging and report back in the morning.

well I just spent a few hours chekcing everything I dared possibly check on the SRS. All the fuses look good, all the connecitons are tight, voltage is presentand I have no idea how to proceed.

And to top things my check engine light is back. "cylinder 2 misfire detected" I will start a new thread for that one.

Anyone who can point me to more info about SRS troubleshooting would be very very very apprecaited.
