Default Daytime running lights

Hello all - great forum
I have an '07dx and am not a fanof daytime running lights.I removed the day light fuse and they went out, and everything else seems to function OK. I replaced the fuse and all worked ok again. My questions is: Can I safely keep the fuse out for a period of time withouthurting any other parts of the electrical circuits/systems in case I want to place it back in and have the lightd function again when I sell the car or have it inspected? Thanks

you should be able to keep it out without any issues, however, daytime running lights are not only a good feature to have for safety but many insurance companies will give you rate discounts if you tell them you have them

I do not know the requirements where you live but in CA. they have been required by the vehicle code for several years. My old Volvo had a disable switch. I doubt it is available in your car.

Studies in Canada found that daytime running lights cut accident rates by up to 30%!! That's why they have been mandatory here since 92.
