Tonight while I was driving home from work I tried accelerating after a redlight and my car completely stalled. Ive never had this problem before with my car and was wondering if anyone knew what might cause this. I'm guessing it might be the fuel filter because I don't think its ever been changed but any other guesses as to what this might be? Thanks to anyone that posts in advance.

1st time this happen?? did car start again right away ?? car idles ok ? chk engine lite on ? AT or 5 sp ?
hook up a fuel pressure gauge and chk to see where it is at ..

 

Yes, this is the first time this has happened. The check engine light is on but its for the speed sensor which I just recently purchased and am waiting for in the mail. At start up the car idles okay but after some driving base idle is low like 300 rpms. Oh and its an automatic.
