Stalls When Hot
I have a 1999 Honda Accord, 5 speed, V-Tech 4 cylinder engine. I have replaced spark plugs with the platinum ones, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, starter, air filter. Car still stalls when it gets too hot. It's not thermostat as that has also been changed. Mechanics can't find anything wrong with it. It will run well when it's cold outside, but stalls while running when it gets hot outside or when it's been running too long (2 hours). It gets scary when it stalls on the highway while doing 70 mph. What else could it be. I'm at the point of replacing whole distributor or fuel pump.
I moved posts to new thread for better attention. In future when you have a new problem start your own thread.
Problems has symptoms consistent w/ either a worn/failing ignition switch Assy or intermittent Main Fuel Relay. PM's request to look to see what lights are visible when engine dies is key to diagnosis. No lights (Check Engine, Alt, Oil) on w/ keyswitch in ON position points toward ignition switch assy. If lights are coming on Main Fuel Relay is likely.
good luck
