Default Starter button on 2021 honda accord

Hi,

How do you adjust the drivers seat and steering wheel in order for your knee not to hit the starter button?

Thank you,

Rochelle

Is your knee hitting the start button when you get into the car? Or when you are already seated and driving?

Hi,

When already seated and driving.

The lowest setting works but my feet do not reach the pedals

I move the seat closer but my knee touches the starter button.

Thank you,

Rochelle.

The start button is fixed, so your your seat is likely too close to the dash and you'll have to adjust the seat first.

Adjust the seat back where your foot can touch the pedals and your knee isn't bent high enough to hit the start button. Try lowering the seat height as well if you have the seat very high. Then the tilt and back angle. After getting the seat adjusted, you can release the lever under the steering wheel and raise/lower and the steering wheel also telescopes towards you. You want your elbows be bent slightly so you can easily turn the steering wheel 1/2 turn. Fully extended hands and hands too close to your body restricts the range you can easily turn the wheel.

On a side note, you then adust your side and rear view mirros. There is a nice tip to have the side mirros not show the side of your car to minimize/eliminate blind spots. Took me a bit to get used to it, but it does help. The second link covers the mirror adjustment.
