Default Starting issues, randomly starts.

Hi. This is my first post here so let me know if I'm doing anything wrong.. I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX that I've had oodles of issues with recently and yet again something is happening. I am reluctant to go to the mechanic yet again because it has cost me so much, and technically the car still works but it's getting worse.

I noticed it at first as a little delay in the start. I would turn the key and nothing but silence, and then the engine would chug chug and start like normal. Recently it got worse, to the point where sometimes I would turn the key and there was nothing. Through some determination I discovered that pressing the gas pedal helped. Sometimes if I don't press the gas pedal the engine will sound like its starting and then stop again. If I press the gas pedal and rev the engine as soon as I hear the first chug chug it will start.

What's my issue here? The battery doesn't seem to be affected, the lights and radio and controls all work when the key is in. When I turn the key to the normal point of start I hear a click and then silence. I noticed that it seemed easier to start when the gas tank was closer to full. It also was very easy to start after parking on a steep uphill incline for a few hours one day. It also tends to be easier to start if I start it again within a short time period, such as after stopping at the grocery store.

I need this car for my commute to work and school, so if I have to get it fixed I will, but there's yet to be a time when I have gotten in and have been unable to get it started, though today it took me nearly five minutes to get a response out of it. I filled it up with gas after that in hopes of alleviating the issue, but we'll see how well that works when I try to drive home in a bit.

Also might be a weak battery, you can check for that also.
