'm in the process of replacing a leaking steering rack on my 93 Accord... and just removed the steering column cover inside the car. Came across a 'Notice' sticker on the cover which says "To prevent SRS damage, remove steering wheel before removing steering shaft connecting bolt". Honda shop manual says nothing about removing steering wheel to replace the steering rack. So does the steering wheel need to be removed or this sticker is this intended for steering column removal?

 

Just to be safe, I would disconnect the battery. I would not remove the steering wheel if it is not in the shop manual. Be cautious of any wiring harness with the yellow plastic cover.
