sticking noise when shifting into drive
Hi,
I have had my car just for a month (new Honda Accord 2007 SE). For the last week, I have noticed a sticking noise when taking the gears out of park into reverse or drive.I don't think it is normal. Is this problem related to the other transmission problems or what?Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks a lot.

I hear something similar on mine. It is more pronounced if the car is still moving as I change gears (too many years of driving a stick). I would hear the same thign on my 88 Accord.

RE: sticking noise when shifting into drive
I have had the exact same issue with my 07 Accord SE 4cyl AT Sedan. I got it a couple weeks ago and have just over 300 miles on it. When shifting into drive there is a concerning sound. It is interesting that you chose the word "sticking". It does resemble the quick, high frequency sound of ripping off a sticker or a band-aid. I don't think I feel anything significant along with the sound. I am definitely going to have the dealer check it out, though. Also, my passenger's rear window is retarded.

so that means the noise coming is normal? I went to the Honda dealer and he said the same. But I was concerned as mine is a new 2007 sedan model, just bought a month ago. Never seen or heard this type of sound in any other model new car. I think it will go with time but not sure.
