Default Stomp on gas while driving, car doesn't wanna accelerate.

I just bought a 94 Accord ex, auto, f22b....when I was driving on highway, roughly 45 mph, I punched the gas down expecting vtec to kick in and accelerate...instead it didn't do anything, not even accelerate until I took foot off gas and then the check engine light came on. When I got home shut off car and started again and the check engine light was off...I tried searching and everything I think I read says possibly Vtec solenoid?!? Any ideas?

It should store the error code even tho the light isn't on any more. Read the code - don't guess.

Welcome to HAF....

there is a how to get codes for the OBD-I cars - which you have. All you need is a paper clip.

In the General Tech section there is a post/sticky right at the top - Common DIY Threads. If you go there it haas the link of how to get the codes and how to read them.

Once you have those you can post in the general tech section for what to test from there.
