strange problem with 91 accord lx
ok first of all ive got a 91 accord lx automatic with about 205,000 miles on it. i live in TN and haven't had this problem since the summer but it'll be warm soon so i want to address it. the car runs absolutely fine in the cold, and most of the time it runs fine when it's hot outside. but every few days ill go to start it and the green "s" light starts flashing continuously and the car absolutely will not start. it'll crank and crank but won't start. the car itself doesn't have to be hot, it can be sitting all night and day but if it's hot outside it happens every few days. if i keep turning it off and on it the light will not flash and the car will start and run fine like nothing ever happened. i did some searching and read about the speed sensor but ive never had a problem with the speedometer or the tach. any ideas? thanks...

The S light flashing means the transmission computer is detecting a problem and stored a code that will point you towards the problem.
Use a thin paper clip or a piece of wire to short a blue two pin service connector. It is behind the passenger's side kick panel. Turn the key to the II position and count the code(s) that the S light flashes. A long blink =10, and a short blink =1. The code(s) will repeat, so you can double-check.
Post the code on here and we can give you more details.

This problem only happens when it is hot inside the car?
That is an exact description of a main relay problem;
Look at the pic and notice the crack in the solder joint of the circuit board on the main relay.

i never thought of it that way...it being hot inside the car making it happen but yes thats the only time it has ever happened when its been hot outside which would make it hot inside. so how would i go about checking the circuit board on the main relay? where's it located?

I would short that connector, because the S light is flashing. The transmission computer is detecting some kind of problem.
