Default STUCK CLUTCH - 2004 accord

my son just had a new engine put in his 2004 accord a month ago. yesterday he called me and said that his clutch was stuck all the way to the floor and he fears he needs a new clutch. he said that he had a new clutch put in 2-3 years ago.

any help, advice is appreciated.

Clutch is hydraulic. Most likely not installed correctly or damaged leading to leak which allows clutch pedal to fall to floorboard. Should be relatively simple fix.

good luck

Thanks. He just told me that he noticed that after he had the new engine put in, that is when he started having problems with the clutch. He is going to call the mechanic that put in the engine and take it from there. The good news is that with the new engine the car runs like a dream!!

How did this engine fail? I've heard of relatively few failures of these models? I4 or V6? Hard driiving?

regards

V6 = He bought it used and always had problems with oil leaks and needed to add oil. Every oil change car was checked for leaks and none could be found. He had work done on it about a year ago which was suppose to solve problems with the car, but it did not. New engine was put in 3 weeks or so ago and car ran wonderful (until this happened with the clutch). He loves the car even with the problems he has had.

The teenage brother of a friend suggested that he tie a nylon cord to the clutch and use it to pull the clutch up until he can get it looked at. He posted the video on his facebook page and it seems to be working!! Cheap fix for now.
Thank you to all of you who have made suggestions, not only to this post, but to my post about cranking problems I am having with my accord. Your input, ideas and suggestions are truly appreciated!!!

Change the clutch slave cylinder...Make sure to bleed it correctly.
