Default Sunvisor installation fail honda accord

I repair upholstery for car dealerships. One of the more common jobs is replacing fallen headliners for accords. Usually 08-12 approximately. Removing the sunvisors is a piece of cake. However, getting them reinstalled is a crap shoot, and my luck is bad. I understand the process. Push the visor into the hole, and twist toward the windshield and pray that the platic latch snaps into place. I have tried helping the latch with a pick. Trying to pull the plastic latch into place. Also used wd40 with mixed results. The visor feels completely "seated" but the locking snap won't snap into place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
also i apologize if i am unclear. I will try to answer any follow-up questions.

I'm not familiar with the installation on that specific accord. Is the only issue the plastic won't snap in place? Are the tabs breaking off when installing?

To reinstall visor, you position the visor parallel to the door and insert into the roof panel hole. Then push up on the visor and rotate it forward to lock the visor into place.

See step # 18: https://www.bernardiparts.com/Images...X_AII42233.pdf

Other than that, the visor may be damaged.
