Switch Key Fob Numbers?
Hi all – – I have a 2011 Honda Accord coupe that I bought used and it only came with the number two key. So when I open the car with the key it defaults to the number two driver position. I’m fine with it, but I was wondering if there was a way to change it to number one. I called Honda service and they said I would have to get an entirely new key.
I found this on Google and it sounds like I might be able to reprogram the key to lock and but might end up locking myself out without programming it at Honda. Any ideas? Thanks!

Not worth the risk of bricking your currenty key for DIY work in my opinion especially since you can keep your settings as passenger 2.
I would think that could be programmed. Maybe contact a locksmith for a quote on programming the current key. The additional cost for a spare key may also be worth it.
You may want to look in the owner's manual to see if there are any instructions on the passenger 1 vs passenger 2 key settings. Maybe there is something in the menu system to program?
