Well for all that I think I'll try the Honda MTF. Heck it only uses 2-3 quarts (don't remember off the top of my head and it's cold outside where my manual is) so it's not like it's gonna be real expensive......

There, I fixed it for ya... You're correct that synthetic gearbox oil isn't the same as synthetic engine oil.
