Default Is synthetic oil better for my 04 Accord?

Hi All
I read a story on a 92 Accord going over a million miles, the owner seemed to imply that using a good synthetic oil was part of how he got such life out of his engine. Would this also be the case for my 04 Accord with the 2.4L 4 Cylinder engine? I want to have this car a long time! Thanks
Steve

The Honda engineers do not need to recommend it. If you drive your car a million miles what will it be worth? Will your transmission, etc. last that long?

if you can get your car to go a million miles, I'd say it was worth about $80,000 or the price of 4 cars
