Post Tail lights/brake lights out, Bulbs new, Fuse new, Indicators work.

I'm new to this forum so if my question is listed under the wrong thread LMK.

I'm having issues with my 2001 Honda Accord V6. My tail lights won't illuminate. I've checked the bulbs to see if they were blown, and they weren't (I didn't expect they would be because I had just replaced the driver's side tail light and both bulbs when someone hit me about three months ago). I checked the under hood fuse box and all fuses were in fine shape. I haven't checked my brake switch yet.

I'VE BEEN HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT GETTING STUCK IN PARK, that issue went away suddenly when my gear **** became loose. After reading around I think these problems may be related. Is it a simple brake switch check/replacement?? If so how?

To be clear, even when I turn my headlights on the tail lights don't illuminate. When I compress the brake pedal they also fail to illuminate.
The only rear lights that will turn on is the brake light above my trunk just inside the rear windshield, And both rear indicators work as well.
Thanks in Advance and try to stick to Lehman's terms. I'm sort of a noob.

Is this a sedan (4-door) or coupe (2-door)?

If your high mount brake light works, it wouldn't be due to the brake light switch.

Check the ground connection and wires at G601. You'll have to remove the interior trunk trim first (remove four plastic clips, then carefully pull up the trim piece).

This photo is for the sedan.

Did you check ground G601 and the wiring as I posted previously?

TBH I'm unsure as to how to test the ground.
Do I need a multimeter or will a test light work?
Also would I test with the car on? at the battery? directly at the connection?
If it wouldnt be to much could you explain the process?
I'm bambi when it comes to circuits so I'll do my best to follow.

Thank you for your help in finding the G601 connection in the first place. My research has shown that it is a common culprit!

First, take a look at it. You're looking for anything obvious, such as corrosion on wiring and/or ground bolt, broken wire(s), loose ground bolt, etc.

We can move on to testing if you don't see anything obvious. If you have limited testing equipment, I can try to think other type of tests.
