Default Timing belt?

Recently, I noticed that The Whooptee (2001 Coupe) is cranking a little longer before catching. I suspected fuel pump or filter issues. Checked pump, works fine, pressure test OK. Filter is OK but I changed it anyway while I had the pump out. The car is still taking a few seconds longer than I would like to catch when starting. Not every time, but about half the time.

Yesterday, I noticed that while taking a corner under acceleration, there is some hesitation/missing in the engine. Not a huge amount but a little bit. So, I went out to a deserted little spot I know and put the car through the ringer...

Under heavy acceleration, I get some occasional hesitation. Under heavy acceleration while corning, I get hesitation/missing all the time.

Fuel system checks out, I'm thinking "timing belt" Has anyone else experienced problems like this? Has anyone changed a timing belt?

235,000 miles, bought it used 5K miles ago. No maintenance records.

Timing belt won't do that, but unless you can figure out when it was last replaced you should get that done.

Timing belt won't give any drivability or starting problems or any kinf of warning, until it breaks. Then your engine won't run at all.

it takes a strong spark to fire ANY engine under load.. in my opinion the coil is getting weak.. and theres no way a timing belt would have anything and i do mean ANYTHING to do with a misfire well ok except under one circumstance...breakage lol
