Default Timing Belt? Help!

I have a 1987 Honda Accord Lxi with 87,000 original miles. Yes, crazy I know - dad didn't drive it much. Well, driving the other day when I hear a loud screech, and then car stalls. Try to start it up again, and it screeches and won't start. Open up the hood, and there is oil splattered all over the right side of engine. Thinking the timing belt went, but wanted to get other ideas of what I should be looking to fix. Thanks!

Despite, miles you are way overdue for a timing belt. To check timing belt, remove the oil fill cap and see if you can see the camshaft turning when engine is turned over. If yes, the timing belt may be OK.

Screeching could be a bad starter.

good lukc

Power steering pumps can make a hell of a screech when they cavitate plus fluid pukes all over. Pump seized?
