Default Timing belt kit

Hey guys I ordered a gates timing belt kit and I have a F22b2 motor. The kit I ordered was for a d*m F22b1. I really don't have the time at all to send it back as I got it off of eBay. Can I use it at all. Is anything in this B1 kit thats compatible with the B2. I sure hope so. Thanks in advance guys.

Check online Honda parts outlet (Majestic Honda is one) and confirm if TB is same for B1 and B2 engines.

I don't know if TB's are same, maybe someone else does.

good luck

Well TeX after about an hour trying to search specs of timing components I just called auto zone. I had them cross reference everything in my gates kit. Since I have a F22B2 I had them look at the part numbers of my F22B1 gates kit I ordered by accident. I'm writing this also to help people who just want to know about part comparison. Not that anybody else would of done the idiot thing I did lol. So here are the results.

The water pump is in fact the same for both B2 and B1.
The balance shaft belt is the same for both B2 and B1.
The timing tensioners are also the same for both B2 and B1.
BUT...the timing belt itself is NOT. The B1 vtech has a larger cam profile which means a couple more teeth and a longer belt.

So actually its not as bad as it seems. The only difference is the big TB itself which would give the kits different part numbers. I only paid 80 for the whole gates kit that came with the water pump too so I only have to buy a 17.99 TB from auto zone. So I guess still 100 total ain't bad since auto zone wanted 150 for their whole kit and probly isn't as good as the gates I got anyways. Hope this helps thanks tex
