timing issue on accord

Default timing issue on accord

i changed the oring on the back oof the distributor today. now the car willnot crank. yes the plug wireswere put on correctly i marked the wires on the cap. the car ran fine until i parked it 2 weeks ago to drive my truck for a few weeks. is there any way i got it out of time? any help is greatly appreciated.

The blade on the distributor shaft is a bit offset from center, so it's not supposed to go in backwards. But it WILL go in backwards if you hammer it into place. It should slide nicely into place.

But even if that's backwards, the engine WILL CRANK. It will crank until the battery goes dead but won't fire up & run.

Did you let the battery go dead? Or at least low enough that your radio etc. works but not enough juice to run the starter?
