play it safe and go with the ATF-Z1... it was $7.31 a quart when I bought it 2 weeks ago...

it's just as easy as an oil change... so don't worry about complexity.

make sure you have a breaker bar (i used the top half of my jack's handle)

Due to a certain bad experiance that left me driving a Toyota ..... I suggest having the dealer do the fluid change. If the tranny dies a week later, they are liable.

Breaker bar is stronger than a ratcheting handle, just in case you were to put, say, a pipe over it to get more leverage?

Falk... I actually asked 3 separate dealerships in my area abou tthat, and they said no.. they are NOT responsible if it dies at all, even if it's the same day. Apparently when you do work with Honda, you sign paperwork that says they're not responsible for the work they do...

Fancy that huh? either that, or they're just ****** lying to me..

also, they quoted me ~180 for doing the change, but would only flush (even though I thought Honda says NOT to do this)... It ended up costing me $25 to do it myself... and it seems to be ok, so I'm just gunna go with it...

I think you just had bad luck.

It's a solid bar with a drive on the end like a ratchet.
