Hey guys,

My car has an H2A5 tranny that is going bad. They guy at the auto recycler has and H2U5 that he says "is the same thing". In know the H2U5 is supposed to be in a EX car, will it work in my LX without anything goofy like different drive shaft lengths etc?

Try checking car-part.com for donor cars to your model. It provides cross-over donors where feasible in my experience.

That's a pretty cool site but wasn't much help. Anyone else know if the H2U5 will work in a 93 LX?

 

i would assume so, as pretty much any f series tranny are interchangeable(meaning motor wise) and almost any h series tranny will work on a f series engine(h series engine as in h22/h23)

i would take their word for it, and if it doesnt send it back and say you said it would fit.
