don't be a cheap BUTT, use honda OEM parts for the best results expecially in COLD WEATHER as Honda ATF flows better. I can never understand why people buy a car and then want to save money by using the cheapest stuff possible when doing maint.
"Honda ATF flows better". Could you expand on this? Pleaseprovide us with your KNOWLEDGE.

I work for Advance DO NOT use any Advance Tranny fluid in a honda.
This man has your answer down right..he should know!

I dunno If I have a special Ed accord or what but mine does not like the Z-1. it shifts strangely, and it grinds on acceleration. Ive used either Castrol or AMSOIL in it since my Z-1 incident and have not had problem 1 since.

I found the equivalent fluid for Honda Z-1. It is ACDelco Z-1 fluid, part 1#22717466. My neighbor is a +20 year mechanic for a GM dealership and is the transmission resident of the service department. He calledan equivalent mechanic at alocal Honda dealership and was advised to use ACDelco Z-1 fluid. The Honda mechanic said, "It was the same thing". It gets better.....$3.95 a quart.
