Default Transmission flush question (run car on jack stands)

Hey guys,
I am going through the flush process on my 98 Accord auto transmission pretty soon. I have been reading a lot of posts on this topic and I had one question. I guess they recommend draining and refilling 4 times. Could a guy support the front of the car on jack stands, drain the trans oil, measure the amount drained, fill up the trans with the same amount, then start the car on the jack stands and cycle through the gears and let run for about 5 min. Then shut off the car, drain\refill and basically go theough that process 4 times? Or does the transmission have to be under load like driving to properly cycle the oil? So what do you think good idea or bad?
Thanks..

I would be pretty sure the trans would need to be under load, but I could be wrong. That's just my gut instinct.

Good article. Thanks for the link. Sounds like it might be just as easy to drive the car around for a few miles. This way you are sure to cycle through all the gears and locking of the TC. Get back home drive it onto the ramps and drain again X3.

Cool

On my 97 accord, I did 3 qt fluid changes 3 times. I just drove about 20 miles between changes and the last time the fluid looked pretty good. I guess your method would work also but get the fluid hot and shift thru all the gears.

the drain plug was also magnetic, and did have some build up on it the first time I took it out, something to look for.
