Transmission issue
I have a 93 Honda Accord LX with an automatic trany - the other day I hydroplaned into a ditch which had lots of water and mud and weeds in it. The first day I got it from the tow yard it ran fine. The next morning I go to drive it and it has park, reverse, and only second gear. After about 20 min of this it starts shifting fine - all day and all night - not one problem. This morning I get in it and the same thing happens - park, reverse, and only second gear. This time it has not started shifting correctly. Can anyone help?

Your ATF may be contaminated w/ water. I would drain and replace all the trans fluid w/ procedure as described in following link.

When you separate one of the trans cooler lines, you will have no way of knowing if it's the supply to the radiator or return from radiator, so a check is necessary. Manual doesn't identify which is which.
This allows a close as possible complete displacement of all old ATF.
