Transmission problem? Reverse slow on 2000 V6
Got a 2000 EX V6 with an auto transmission. It has 195K miles.
We're having a problem with reverse. Sometimes it seems like the car is barely moving when you're in reverse. Kind of have to gas it before it really engages. Is this a sign of transmission slippage. We don't have this problem with any other gears, just reverse.
Also, it seems like it really only does it when the car is fully warm.

First off check your fluid level. If the fluid level is okay my first guess would be yes, transmission is going bad. We have put transmission's in tons of these at my shop, it's a pretty common failure. For a proper diagnosis I would need to drive and feel the issue you're talking about.
How's the fluid look ? The reverse servo o-ring inside the transmission could be worn, fairly common for high mileage Hondas, when warms up the transmission fluid is much thinner than cold fluid, that will cause the leak in hydraulic circuit for reverse. You can take it to a transmission shop for a second opinion.

I'll probably get it checked soon.
