Transmission - RPM's Running High - ???
OK, Im new to this website. Just looking for a better educated assumption...
I've noticed last week that my RPM's are running high when I'm going over 65mph (of course on interstate). Haha.
RPM's are running between 2700-3000 down the highway. Never really seemed to go over 2500 before...Trany fluid level is fine. Any ideas on what may be causing this? I know the weather sucks right now and I always let it warm up 10-15minutes before leaving. PLEASE don't tell me my transmission is going out...
I'm pretty sure it's not my imagination...Any ideas on what might be wrong?
By the way...I've got a 2000 Honda Accord. Nothing exciting...4 banger.
Thanks for any ideas or suggestions!!!

Automatic tranny? Possibly the torque converter isn't locking up. That can be caused by bad temperature sensors, because it's not supposed to lock up until it warms up.
Manual tranny? A slipping clutch would be a lot more obvious. It would begin slipping & suddenly revA LOThigher.
