Default transmission storage ?

I have a spare auto tranny with only 60k miles and I wanna know what's the best way to store it? Leave the fluid in it or drain it? Or what to do to keep it in good shape till I need it. right now its sitting in my garage wrapped in a blanket. Do I need to spin it every so often? Cause I tried by hand but can't get it to budge and how can I turn it without damaging the spline . I pulled it this summer cause my tranny has always been alittle sketchy it has 154k right now and who knows when its due.

Admire your planning ahead.
No real experience here, but I'd fill it as chock full of tranny fluid as possible to eliminate corrosion over the years,
keep the seals in contact with fluid, and then I'd just let it sit. When needed: install; do drain & fill to get fluid level right; drive.

When you go to buy one at an Auto Parts store they send it on a small pallet and it has fluid in it. The holes are all taped and they wrap in in shrink wrap and tie her down..Sounds to me like it's the way to handle your Tranny jroxz44.
