transmission woes
this is a question about automatic transmissions...hoping someone can lend some insight.
Year: 1997
Make: Honda
Model: Accord
Motor: 2.2 non-vtec
Trans: Automatic 4spd
the D4 light started flashing which is indicative of a lockup solenoid failure. presuming the solenoid is the issue and not some wiring, does anyone know if a "TCC" solenoid and a lock-up solenoid are the same thing? it seems that the domestic cars call it a TCC but there are two separate parts and part numbers listed on the standard motors website for it. Im looking aftermarket as the car has 210k and it probably wont be around that much longer so an OE part is sort of out of the price range.

i know the problem, i was just trying to cross a non-honda part number and see if it was the correct one.
it looks to be the same. TCC & Lockup Solenoid are somewhat synonymous. the real give away was that i actually managed to find a "this part replaces OE PN XXXXXXXXX"
