Default Trunk Latch not working

Hello, I have a Honda Accord Coupe EX, 2010 with a 4 cylinder engine. So my trunk latch has been having problems since I put a big box in the back. After I tried to open it with the big box in the back, the trunk won't open with the remote trunk opener button so I had to go to the driver side and pull on the trunk lever opener from there and it works. I'm not sure what the problem is because 100% of the time when I pull on the trunk lever opener it works. Before the trunk button stopped working entirely it would use to open the trunk sometimes and sometimes not. Now it doesn't work at all but sometimes I would hear the latch click when I press on the trunk button on the remote after closing the trunk hard. Here's what I've tried so far.

I've watched the YouTube video with the link above to diagnose the problem and the ground wire wasn't the problem.(I've already used a multimeter to check the ground wire all the way to the connector for continuity) I don't think the latch is the problem because the trunk lever opener works perfectly every time. There's the Orange activator wire and the white wire are left. The orange wire isn't the problem I think because if it is the latch wouldn't be opening at all. The white wire isn't the problem because the trunk light is still working. It can't be the battery on the remote too because it hasn't have any problem and always lights up when you press a button. It could be a faulty latch but I'm not sure maybe there's something I'm missing and forgot to check? Anyways these are just some of my theories l on why it's not working.
