Default Turn Signal Clicker

What exactly makes the clicking noise when the directional signal is on?

Can that wear-out, where the signal would be on without the sound?

The flasher is what makes the signal blink and is also the clicking sound. If it fails, no blinky and no clicky.

tkundert2 hit it on the head. It's a cheap little relay that simply clicks on/off. Usually located under the dash somewhere. It's not that uncommon for them to wear out after a time
