Question turning rotors

Hi guys. I have a 04 Accord.

I am planning on doing a front brake job and just wanted to get some other peoples opinions on whether to turn the rotors or not. I have read that by turning the rotors you get a nice new surface for the new brake pads to rest on but also by turning the rotors you loose "mass" on the rotor and are susceptible to warping easier.

does anyone know what what type of pads to replace with (ceramic or metallic)

Welcome newbie!
Normally the shops that resurface rotors will look up the minimum thickness, & they will not do the job if the rotors will get too thin. Minimum thickness also should be stamped into the rotor itself.

OTOH, recently did that on my 2003, and it was just a tiny bit more money to buy NEW rotors. So that's what I did.

I found rotors for $30.. if you changing the brakes, just make sense to put new rotors on..
