Compression is the next check. It scares me to do thou cause if it low its a bad sign. And fuel pressure idk how to check. Someone also mentions my evap system could be malfunctioning cause i have alot of pressure when i take gas cap off. Idk if thats normal

Okay i went for a long drive today and it ran great while i was babying it alot. As soon as i started running it hard it started to lose power. Could that be fuel system problems? Or what else? Hope that little test helps identify my problem. If i baby the car it runs good as soon as i start getting into the peddle alot it starts losing power

Autozone loans out fuel pressure testers. At idle, with the regulator vacuum line disconnnected and plugged, the pressure should be 38 - 46psi; connected it should be 30 - 37psi.
