Question Unknown Sensor

I have 2003 Accord 4 cyl EX, upon replacing my air filter there is a small curved hose aprox 1/2" in diam. & about 4" long, one end connects to the air filter housing and the other end tees into a sensor that is threaded into the engine. The hose is no longer attached to the sensor, and it looks like my mechanic tried at one time to silicone it back together. My question is, What is the name of the sensor so I can order a new one.
Thanks for any help.

Can you take a picture and post it?

Sensors generally have electrical wires and connectors, whereas valves have vacuum hoses. So, it doesn't sound like a sensor if it has a hose.

Yes a pic would be best....I'm "guessing" this is the Intake Air Bypass thermal valve.
