Hi all. Where is the switch at that cuts off the "door/seatbelt" light when you open and close the door??? This is urgent! The "L" shaped switch inside the door jamb isn't cutting the light off. Is there another switch inside/near the door that cuts the light off??

 

You don’t say which Accord you have. The dome light won’t go out if the switch at the dome light is in the wrong position. I believe it is the center one. Or are you talking about the door position (open or closed) on the dash

 

Sorry. I should have been more specific. The red light on the instrument panel that reads "door/(seat belt icon)" will not turn off.

you might try pulling your interior light fuse for a temporary fix.

 

I'm certain that the seat belt switch is my problem but have no time to mess with it right now. Disconnecting the battery isn't a big problem but I can't do it every time the car is shut off. I'm hoping this will work.
