Default very rough on start up

hi people. back again with a very weird problem.
every morning(spring to winter) when i start my car up, it makes a very hard vibrating sound like as if it is going to die. not only that. whenever i drive it occassionally glinched like as if i drove over a stone or something. what could be wring with it?

or could it be the fuel filter? what are the signs that i need can tell by if i need to change my fuel filter?
thanx

Well if you want to change your fuel filter, this guy made an excellent how to page;

http://www.freewebs.com/hondadude/95...l%20Filter.htm

Then as far as the cold starts, turn on the key, wait for the cel to go off, then crank the engine.
Clean the throttle plate area with Berrymans B-12 and a toothbrush [soft bristles] and also pull off the IACV and spray out the screen with Berrymans.

which area i mean
that reminds me... i need to change my rocker cover gasket. i just found out that my sparkplug is flooding with oil. will that be the reason at all?

Absolutely. Oil leaking down onto the outside of the spark plug can cause this. Buy a valve cover gasket set & make sure it includes the round seals for the spark plug tubes. Occassionally some places sell them separately.

If it's been going on for awhile, you might want to get new sparkplugs too.

If the oil keeps leaking, there are additional seals farther down in the spark plug tubes, so in that case come on back for more advice.

Here's a picture of the throttle body, the throttle plate is inside the bore; the IACV is #19.

?? Maybe your firewall blocks something? I've had that happen, but not for those pictures.

www dot hondaautomotiveparts dot com
select the link for PARTS catalog
put in your car's information
for the last field, select THROTTLE BODY

I don't know how else oil can get into those tubes unless you poured oil directly in them with the spark plug wires removed. Oil will likely return.

A turkey baster might get some of the oil out depending on how full the tube is.. Twist a paper towel in there and allow the oil to soak in. Keep repeating until all the oil is gone.

Are you talking about soaking up the oil that's already in there? Soak it up like PA says, but I'd use rags instead of paper towels so they don't fall apart.

Replace the valvecover gasket set so the oil doesn't just leak back into the spark plugs.

Buy NEW spark plugs, because if they've been misfiring through the oil, the ceramic insulation is likely damaged. The continuing misfiring might just confuse the issue.
