Default Vibration while braking at high speeds

Hey Guys,

I changed my brake pads and rotors about a year ago (about 10K miles ago) and they work fine. I bought all brembo pads and rotors.

I am usually easy on my brakes, I don't abuse them. A few days ago I noticed some vibration when I have to slow down from 80 to 60, so basically at high speeds. I checked my rotors and they are very smooth and even.

I assume that I have some sort of suspension problem? Maybe a worn stabilizer?

Any help will be appreciated.

Vibration when braking is a symptom brakes not suspension.

Check that the brake pads slide in the caliper bracket.

You may want to remove the rotor and clean any corrosion off the hub and back of the rotor to make sure the rotor is actually parallel to the face of the hub. A brass wire brush or a brass wire wheel will work to remove corrosion.

Here is a good video on replacing brakes.

i had a caddy before and did a lot of work on it.
brake vibration is common on lightly driven cars
been told it is due to brake pad buildup on the rotors
due to constant light brake use
a cure sometimes is to do a series of high speed fast stops to improve
the rotor/pad contact.

Just to clarify that...

When bedding in the brakes, you don't STOP. Use the brakes HARD from say 50mph to 20mph but don't come to a stop.

When you come to a complete stop, that's when the hot brake pads imprint material onto the surface of the rotor.
