Steering wheel vibration at highway speeds
Hi all,
I noticed my steering wheel vibrates around 70 - 80 mph, and then starts to get better at faster speeds. It doesn't start vibrating until 70mph. The vibration seems to originate from the front driver wheel and I can feel it in my feet as well.
This happened with the stock rims and tires. When I swapped them for a (used) set of aftermarket rims and tires from my other car, the same vibration was still there. I already checked tire pressure, and alignment seems more or less in check. I don't have any clicking/grinding noises that would indicate bad ball joints or axles or wheel bearings. No noises from the struts/springs either.
My next guess would be a bad outer tie rod? What do you guys think?
