Exclamation Vsa abs break and check engine light

I have an 08 lx 4 cylinder. Recently i cranked the car and all the light mentioned in the title are on out of nowhere. Also the check engine light comes on sometimes. When i try to drive it the rpms doesn't go pass 3k and the check engine light flashes until i take my foot off the gas. If anyone has had a similar issue it would keep me from going to the steelership.

Most autoparts stores like autozone will scan your car's computer and give you the codes. Get the actual code(s) and post them on here. They start with the letter P and have 4 numbers, like P1234. Do not replace parts based on the code. The code gives you a direction on where to start doing some testing.

The code was P0339 crankshaft position sensor. That's the only code that came up. That's a pretty easy fix if this is truly the problem.

The code means that the problem is in the crank position sensor circuit. The true problem can be the sensor, the wiring/connection, or possibly the PCM (engine computer).

Odds are the crank position sensor is the problem, but you should test the wiring/signal to ensure the sensor is the real problem.

The cause of the trouble codes and other lights may be due to low charge battery or the battery cable connections. Check and clean the battery cable connections and have the battery tested.

There is a technical service bulletin regarding P0339. If the engine is cranked with a low battery, the ECM/PCM may incorrectly judge the crankshaft sensor position.

The corrective action was to update the PGM-FI software with the HDS, and do the CKP pattern clear and learn procedure.

Since the warranty would be over and if the update was never done, then just make sure the car battery and cable and connections are okay first before replacing items.
