VSA/ABS fault
Hi everyone
I have an 2007 cdti that has, at start up, flashed the ABS warning light for a split second then the VSA warning stays illuminated. I have searched this site and am hoping It's not the modulator. I have it booked at Honda for diagnostics. They told me about the extended warranty for 6yrs or 62000 miles, mine has done 70000. daft question maybe but when they plug in the tester will it register details of milage reg etc. I ask this because if they are nice they may book it as it's last service of 615000 miles.
P.s do I have any cause for complaint about it only being 8000 miles out of warranty?
Cheers

615,000 miles, huh?
Are you in the UK? We don't get diesels here in USA and our warranties are probably different too. If you've done the normal services at a dealer, they might figure you're a good customer and covering with warranty as "good-will" has been known to happen.
At any rate, they'll look up the details of registration anyway, regardless whether they connect their computer to the car. Here in USA they can look that stuff up if you just ring on the telephone & tell them the VIN of the car.

Hi thanks for your reply, yes i'm in the UK and it has been diagnosed as needing a new modulator. I managed to get them down from £1900 to £850 but this still seems steep. It wonder if anyone here in the UK have managed to have one repaired by an electrician?
What code was displayed? This may allow a judgement about need for modulator.
My experience is these components are not repairable. I tried to remove and dissassemble a 1997 Accord modulator and gave up after running into parts that apparently required special tools to access.
good luck
