Default 2008 brake/abs/vsa lights

Hello, I just bought a 2008 EX-L 4cyl about 2 months ago. It has about 82k on it. Just the other day the brake, abs, vsa, and vsa indicator light come on. There does not seem to be any problems with the brakes at all. It doesn't come on everytime I am in the car either, just sometimes. I am coming from a '98 Jeep Cherokee and am very unfamiliar with this car/electronics. I know normally I could take it to an auto parts place and have them pull the codes but I havent had a chance to do that yet. I imaging it is just a bad brake sensor somewhere but again, do not know where to start. Can anyone point me in the direction I need to go in without taking it to the dealer? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to guess you've checked the brake fluid level......

i know on 8th civics when you get the TPMS and ! light you pressurize all tires to 40 psi, release to 20, and then properly reinflate

you may need to get the codes pulled at the dealer. you're driving right now without ABS.

I don't have any kind of relationship with the dealer. Do they typically pull the codes and give them to a customer? Also the lights do not come on all the time..just sporadically. Will the codes be able to be pulled even if the light isn't on at that moment?

Go to Autozone, they might be able to pull the code for you. If not, hit up the dealer. Majority of times they'll just read it for you without any charge. (Depends on the stealership.)

I finally went to the dealer to have this problem checked out. The VSA Control Module is the problem. The service guy said he has only seen this happen once or twice in his 10 years of working there. He said it is about $1000 plus labor to have it installed. I am not getting that fixed now since I am low on funding. I drove a Jeep before with no ABS so this shouldn't be that bad!! They also said they had to use a special computer to pull the codes so that is why Autozone couldn't pull them.
Shortly after this problem started, the dvd nav went out as well. That is another $730 plus another dvd. Just an FYI

Check "2008 accord VSA" on ebay. Used ABS/VSA modulator is < $100. I could not find a VSA control module in parts for 2008, but it might be there. There parts tree logic sucks.

good luck
