Default VSA light

Hey guys, I recently installed an alarm/ remote start on my 09 ex-l and when I put the dash back together the VSA light was on and has stayed on for two days now. Does anyone know the cause and remedy for this? Thanks in advance

Did you check if the electrical connector is plugged back in to the VSA switch on the dash?

Also, do you have the Honda interior illumination kit (LEDs) installed in the car? If so, the electrical connectors for the VSA switch and illumination switch may be inadvertently switched.

there are no other plugs near that one. I wonder if starting the car with it being unplugged would cause it to come on and I have to clear some code with a scanner

You will only have a similar plug if you have the Honda interior illumination kit.

I started the car without it being plugged in and then plugged it back in later with no problems.

The VSA system suppose to reset when the car is shut off and the engine restarted. In your case, sounds like it is not resetting or there is some other issue. Have you already tried holding the VSA button for a few seconds after the engine is started?

If that doesn't work, check the various fuses.

You might also want to disconnect the negative battery cable for a short while and see if things reset.

If everything else doesn't pan out, you may want to get the car scanned for trouble code(s).

Did you try pressing the VSA switch for a couple of seconds while the engine is ON?

Also, did you check the various VSA associated fuses in the under-hood fuse box and interior fuse box?
