Hello, hoping to get some feedback on an issue I'm having with my 2002 Accord with a ULEV-VTEC 4cyl with auto trans. The vehicle began to experience low power on acceleration, particularly on hills. If it kicked into passing gear, it was even worse. Under very light acceleration it was OK. A friend suggested that it might be the VTEC solenoid which I have since replaced. Now the vehicle has the same symptoms but when I accelerate hard or it kicks into passing gear, the low power remains, but the engine acts as though there is a rev limiter in place. Again, if I am only lightly accelerating, it operates fine. Any ideas?

 

Have the codes checked. If there are any stored codes give us the actual number(s) and not a description.

If there are no codes let us know that as well.
