wasting oil

Question wasting oil

i have a 94 ex and recently i noticed it was burning oil. i noticed that there was oil coming out of the filter i had on the breather..does anyone have any idea wat could b causing this

i changes the pcv valve a few week ago

If you rule out other stuff, then excessive blowby (bad rings?) will pressurize the crankcase & overwhelm the flow capacity of the PCV valve. Then the flow direction reverses in that breather vent line (where you put the filter).

Have you measured compression lately?

So you are saying you took off the vent tube and put a filter on it??
Did you really get 165 more HP?
And now you can't figure out why the little filter has oil on it?

Did it ever occur to you that the design engineers had a reason for that vent hose to go back into the intake?

How many miles are on this "creampuff" ?
