Werid Start Problem?
Hi everyone wondering if i could get some help
Got a 2000 honda accord 4cyl coupe with f23a4 ulev engine. I get this werid problem when i try to start the car warm. for instances when i try to start the car when the engine is warm i starts and then two seconds later the car bogs down and shuts off. Usualy what i do to cure the problem is i hit the car with gas when i start it then when i get it into gear i try to make a quick run in order for it not to bog down. but once the car is running it runs great. Iam thinking its some kind of sensor or maybe fuel pump. Anyone else have any other suggestions? Thx

RE: Werid Start Problem?
You didn't read the Service News letters that your service manager gave you. LOL
There is a known problem with warm starts. 98+ Accords.
Try this; Turn on the key, let the fuel pump run 3 seconds for full pressure, push the gas pedal about 1/2 way [allows more air] then crank.
I think the newer owners manual has a description of opening the throttle plate1/2 wayfor warm starts.
Ican't rule out that there could be some other problem, but I like to try simple fixes first.
How old are the spark plugs BTW?
