Bought a 2013 Accord Sport brand new and was wondering what kind of Alarm does the car have. Is it as good as an Aftermarket alarm or is it just something basic and not worth while.

 

I would say the system is better than an aftermarket alarm. Pretty much the only methods which can defeat the system are:

• Towing the car away to a secure spot for disassembly.
• Someone hooked in with a crooked dealership employee who will cut and program extra keys (thinking of a case in Georgia a few years back).

 

thx i just wanted to make sure I was getting my moneys worth on this Accord. I had to pay a bit more because I had a 09 Honda Civic with a very high interest rate annd still owed a big chunk on the Civic.

The Civic was a PILE of crap I hated the car with a passion. So far I LOVE my Accord Sport. My only real complaint is the "Active Noise Cancelling" system which IMO does not do really much but Honestly I dont know if it was needed because the tires are Primacy MXM4's and theres almost no rode noise as it is.
