Default What is it? Overflowing PS fluid & squealing

'90 Honda Accord- power steering reservoir has been overflowing and I get a high pitched squeal as I turn the wheel L or R while driving (not while dry-stearing).

It sounds like your belt is slipping. When you turn the wheel and it screechs your probably not going to fast, like parking? The belt could be worn or it needs to be adjusted. The resevoir overflows MAYBE because the pump itself is bad and fluid builds up inside the resevoir and doesn't circulate. Chances are the two problems are related.

My pump makes a clicking noise all the time, and a grinding noise when I go to turn while going slow.. sometimes the PS works, sometimes not.. fluid bubbles and overflows, I found out it's the bearing inside my pump. We might have the same problem, I found a few pumps on ebay for less than $50 Shipped though. Let us know how it goes!

Squeal happens particularily when driving close to highway speeds on curvy roads (I try to get it to happen in front of a mechanic driving slow and it's hard to duplicate).

I really think that you have the same problem as WhyNotFab. At highways speeds the engine is turning over faster than at idkle and the pump then runs into trouble.
