wheel bearing/hub??

The hub can be bent in a collision, or if you slide into a curb during winter. That can be diagnosed easily with a dial indicator measuring runout. Sometimes the wobble is easily visible.

My daughter had a old Accord awhile back, and the part of the hub that slides into the center of the bearing, was badly gouged. I think during a previous life that car had a seized bearing and the hub was actually spinning against the seized bearing. You don't need metallurgical analysis to see that.
