Hi,

I'm a newby here - sorry. Gotta start somewhere. I'm not used to the forum and will get better with searching because I'm sure that my Q has been answered several times already.

Unfortunately, my rear bearings are starting to sing a song that I have no interest in listening to. I was hoping that it was the tires but it wasn't. A quick rotation proved that. So, I've ordered new hubs for the rear. Got 'em form Majestic Honda online. They were cheaper there than they were at the local advance auto - imagine that. The job looks pretty easy but I couldn't find a torque spec for the spindle nut. And, is this a reusable nut?

Is this on the 2000 Accord in your signature? I've done that on the '98, it was pretty easy. Torque is in the Helm repair book which is 130 miles away from me right now...

IIRC, it's a castellated nut with a cotter pin, so re-use it.

scroll down to what you need .. and yes you can reuse the axle nut ,, make sure to restake it so less chance of coming loose
