My honda Accord 2000, is 102 k and i want to change the timing belt and do the 90k service for the car.

should i go to the honda dealers service or local service stations.

Is there an advantage to use the costly honda service stations.

Please advice.

if there is a reputable independent shop, i'd take it there. key word there is reputable.

 

Best bet is to look up local Honda Certified shops that are not dealerships. Expect about a $600 bill for the timing belt replacement and oil pump. Maybe another $100 for additional services related to the 90k tuneup.

 

Hah mine was about $550 for the timing belt/water pump. They also changed the plugs and some other stuff for free.

 

Timing belt job is all labor. And labor prices vary A LOT depending on where you are located.
